Leading equity release legal adviser, [ ], has won the '2009 Best Conveyancer Award' at the Mortgage Solutions Equity Release Awards for the second year in a row. Equilaw saw off competition from other national law firms including Ashford Solicitors and Goldsmith Williams to win the award at Merchant Taylors Hall, London, on Friday 13 November.
Equilaw operates nationally within the equity release sector providing independent expert legal advice to those wishing to release equity from their homes. As a legal specialist, Equilaw provides a breakdown of the risks and rewards associated with any equity release scheme recommended by financial advisers and the legal obligations the consumer is under.
Mortgage Solutions, the weekly publication for mortgage intermediaries, launched the Equity Release Awards in association with SHIP (Safe Home Income Plans), the industry trade body, in 2005. The awards are designed to recognise those providers and financial advisers who offer the best quality service and advice in the industry.
With a team established in 2001, [ ] is the only law firm in the UK solely dedicated to equity release and is a founder member of The Equity Release Solicitors' Alliance (ERSA).
