How do we keep up to date with progress of our clients' case? We have dedicated team members to update you by telephone. We can also provide written updates on your case by email or fax. Alternatively, you can log on to our case tracker service to immediately ascertain what stage your clients’ cases have reached. |

| 2. |
How do you charge for your services? We charge a fixed fee of £345.00 plus VAT on a 'no completion no fee' basis and disbursements. If the legal title of the property needs to be transferred into sole or joint names, we charge an additional £125.00 plus VAT. If the client does not wish to sign the legal papers at our Head Office in Cheltenham, the client will be responsible for the fee of a local solicitor. We will source the local solicitor and negotiate a fee of £75 plus VAT or less. |

Do you enter into volume arrangements? Yes, we thrive on working with advisers who specialise in this field. |

| 4. |
Would you ever advise a client not to proceed? Occasionally this might happen but only in exceptional circumstances. This may occur where it is obvious that the client does not understand the nature and effect of the plan or if the client is being coerced into releasing money (eg, by a family member). |

Do you pay referral fees to us? No, we are unable to do this in relation to equity release referrals. SHIP rules are clear that you should only recommend a solicitor because you feel that the solicitor is expert in this area and it is in the best interests of the client to use such a solicitor. Non-payment of referral fees ensures the continuing independence of solicitors in this field. |

How do we recommend your firm? You should always ask the client if they have their own solicitor. If they do have their own solicitor, the client should ascertain whether or not the solicitor is knowledgeable about equity release. If not, they may prefer to use a specialist firm. If the client does not wish to use their own solicitor, you may refer to us. Client-friendly literature is available from us on request. If the client decides to proceed with us, please email equityrelease@equilaw.uk.com with the client’s :-
- Full name(s)
- Address
- Date(s) of Birth
- Telephone number(s)
- Email address
- Recommended product details
- Confirmation of whether the property is already in mortgage
- Confirmation of whether we should proceed to write to the client
- Confirmation of your advice fee (if applicable)
